Larnaca-Sun and Sea

Phinikoudes Beach 

Bordering Larnaka’s (Larnaca) central coastal promenade, Phinikoudes Beach is one of the most famous in Cyprus. “Phinikoudes” means small palm trees (now grown into very big palm trees) that were planted in 1922. The beach has fine grey sand and is some 500 metres long. The width varies from 30 metres to 100 metres. The area is popular for its cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels. There are also a large number of mini markets close to the beach. The commercial and shopping centre of the town is just behind the promenade. The main road, Athenon Avenue, is planted with palm trees, green areas and colourful flowers that add to the magnificent scenery.

Mckenzie Beach 

Situated near Larnaka (Larnaca) International Airport. The sea is usually very calm, the water is clear and the footpath near the beach makes a walk along the sandy beach a memorable experience. The beach has a length of about 1000 metres, while the width varies from 35 metres to 80 metres. Many fish taverns, restaurants and mini markets are found near the beach.

Ellinas Beach 

It is very popular sandy beach with modern facilities. Someone can reach the beach by car, bus, bicycle etc. Restaurants, taverns as well as accommodation facilities are also available. The beach is guarded by life guards from 11.00 to 18.00 hours every day.

Yanathes Beach 

Yanathes Beach is a sandy beach located in Voroclini. Lifeguards are on duty with lifesaving equipment from 11:00 to 17:00 hours during the bathing period. The beach is easily accessible by bus, car, motorbike and bicycle.

Dasaki Pylas Beach 

Dasaki pylas beach it is situated along the Larnaka (Larnaca) Dhekelia road. Is a long beach in green surroundings with fine grey sand in and out of the water. The water is shallow and clear and the sea is usually calm, ideal for swimming. The long sandy areas make the Dasaki Pylas Beach ideal for beach games and walking. It is situated along the Larnaka (Larnaca) Dhekelia road.

Kastella Beach Larnaka 

Kastella Beach is situated near the Psarolimano Fishing Shelter in Larnaka (Larnaca), some 15 minutes walk from the town centre. It is a small beach with fine grey sand. The beach has a length of about 400 metres, while the width varies from 20 metres to 70 metres. The beach is guarded by life guards. Many fish taverns, restaurants, ice-cream shops and mini markets are found near the beach.
